today's recipe: western cooking

chicken chop with brown sauce serve with mashed potato and baked vegetables

                                                          

recipe for de day! craving for western food, making me spend the whole morning preparing this dish......
not very hard to make.... as long as u like to be in kitchen...

Chicken:
drumstick - debone and flated into thin filet. marinated with salt pepper & a bit of mixed herbs ( u can always used rosemary which are suitable 4 chicken n red meat). bear in mind not to overseason it!

coat chicken with any kind of flour xcept corn flour.... lol.... hehe... then dip into egg mixture  n lastly bread crumb ( @ oat, cereal, or bake old bread)

last but not least, fried the coated chicken till it is brown estimately for ~5 minutes.

Mashed potato:
very easy ....
 boil 4-5 potatos until it is soft ( try to poked with a knife or fork to test the testure). sieve the potato n place them back in the pot. using low heat mashed it in the same pot n add a cup of milk , table spoon of butter, a pinch of salt & pepper. continue mashing until it is well blend.

Baked vege & corn:
u can used any type of vege... but mostly we use brocoli, carrots, peas, capsicum and onion. season them with salt, pepper & oil. just put in a tray then place in ur oven.. baked for 5 min.

Brown sauce:
chopped 1 onion,3 cloves of garlic. saute them with some oil until it is fragrant n brown in color. next add in 4 tablespoon of barbeque sauce (ready made). add 2 - 3 cup of stock according to preferrence. season it. lastly add roux / corn starch. whisk until thick enough.
*roux : 3 tb spoon butter + 3 tb flour... cook until become a paste. used of thickening agent.

lamb chop with black pepper saucewith mashed potato and baked vegetables


well...  i dont usually ate lamb... but my sis & my adorable youger brother love it... so to pleased them... i serve lamb chop for lunch today. here's the recipe for lamb chop.... basically the side dish is the same xcept for sauce.

Lamb:
buy any portion of lamb tht u fancy. then season them with salt & pepper. grill the lamb for 2 minutes each side (depends on ur taste). there u go... ur lamb is ready.

Black pepper sauce:
